How to become a student of a foreign university?

To be able to join the Erasmus + program, you should meet the following criteria:

  • be a student at WSB University in Torun
  • if you are non-EU citizen your residence card needs to be valid during mobility in other EU country & allows you to travel within EU up to 90 days (http://archiwalna.udsc.gov.pl/en/cudzoziemcy/obywatele-panstw-trzecich/karta-pobytu/informacje-o-dokumencie/)
  • be a student of 1st, 2nd cycle (bachelor's, engineering, master's) or uniform master's studies
  • have completed the first year of first-cycle (bachelor's) studies, but remember that you cannot travel for the last semester of first and second-cycle or uniform master's studies be a citizen of a country participating in Erasmus + (in other cases, have a refugee status or a permanent residence card in a participating country).

If you are applying for a scholarship, you should:

  • demonstrate adequate knowledge of a foreign language (language test)
  • achieve a high grade point average in college
  • be positively assessed by the Recruitment Committee as a result of an interview.

Which countries can you go to?

You can only go to those countries that participate in the program. Participating in Erasmus + are: EU Member States, European Economic Area countries, ie Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, as well as Turkey, Switzerland and Croatia. The exchange of students may be carried out by universities with the Erasmus + University Charter, which have signed an exchange agreement with each other under this program. Currently, the School of Banking in Toruń has 27 partnership agreements signed by the end of the academic year 2021/2022. We are in the process of renewing contracts for 2022-2027. How to find foreign internship? Kindly read the information materials provided by the Erasmus Student Network (the link contains a link to websites with offers of foreign internships, e.g. Erasmusintern):

 

Acceptable length of foreign internship

  • Foreign internships may last from 2 to 12 months. The duration of such an internship depends on the number of students interested in the trip and the available financial resources allocated to the University.
  • One student may participate in mobility periods (studies and placements) with a total maximum duration of up to 12 months for each cycle of study (Bachelor or Master), irrespective of the number and type of mobility activities. Participation without EU funding is included in this maximum duration.
  • The duration of the internship for recent graduates is a maximum of 12 months for the study cycle in which they apply for an internship.
  • Recruitment for internships is carried out continuously, throughout the academic year, until the funds allocated by the National Agency for this purpose are exhausted. Candidates are qualified for two separate lists depending on the source of funding: basic Erasmus + scholarship or scholarship with a social benefit OP KED.
