Due to with the support of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code, University authorities decided to verify the current laws and practices in WSB University in Toruń in terms of their compliance with the Charter and the Code. The effect will be to contribute to the attractive, open and sustainable European labor market for researchers, where the framework conditions allow for recruiting and retaining high quality researchers in environments conducive to effective performance and productivity.
Charter and Code define the roles, responsibilities and entitlements of researchers and their employers or funders. The aim is to create attractive opportunities for career development and improving employment and working conditions for researchers in Europe.
The implementation of the Charter and the Code is one of the basic elements developed by the European Union strategy to stimulate employment and economic growth through the creation of a competitive, transparent and open labor market for researchers.
WSB University in Toruń submitted the relevant documents to the European Commission, starting the process of applying for a prestigious logo HR Excellence in Research.
