Careers Center
WSB Career Centers were created in order to prepare WSB students and graduates to enter the job market and also to give employers a chance to establish contact with their prospective employees.
The basic responsibilities of the Career Center include:
• arranging internships in reputed companies and institutions,
• keeping the so-called Informatorium i.e. the bank of information about the job market, employers, opportunities of improving qualifications, etc.
• providing consultancy in determining professional predispositions as well as assistance in preparing job application documents,
• organizing workshops and training in effective job seeking,
• job seekers and employers intermediary,
• organizing presentations of companies on the School's premises.
Local WSB Career Centers cooperate with each other, which allows the students from all WSB schools to take advantage of internships and job offers across Poland. Employers can receive information on people seeking jobs in various regions of Poland.
Internships
Career Centres offer an extensive choice of both compulsory and non-obligatory internships for students. They contact companies, establish the internships’ curricula and make sure the programs are professionally realized. By this means, WSB students can get precious job experience, which is going to pay off in their future professional career. During the compulsory internships, which last 6 weeks, students can:
• self-evaluate their theoretical knowledge from studies in practice
• verify their job predispositions
• gain professional experience, which will be useful in future
• get acquainted with job environment and everyday functioning of companies and institutions
• get references from their employers
Career Manager Progamme
A few of WSB Schools offer Career Manager Programme, which is a workshop organized by Career Centres. Its main objective is to help students in planning their career. It enables students to verify their qualifications and skills against the future job possibilities and job market demands.
